Technology in Japan..

Technology In Japan (Toilets)

Some of us may not understand the picture above, but trust me that is the highest technology I had ever seen. The picture is of a toilet, but higher technology is added to it.
This was my first shock when I arrived in Japan. I had to use this awesome high tech Toilet, that does not only flash automatically bu also washes your B*** when you are done, It in a way dries you and you are free to go. if you are on one of those bad days when your tummy cannot keep it low and you end up making some noises in the toilet, then this is the technology to use, A music system has also been installed to counteract the noise you may produce. What a technology?

The pictures below I took them at Kansai (KIX) Airport on the 20th April 2012. look at the pick below keenly, you will notice the armrest has some buttons for the services I explained above.

my recent happenngs

Am Here to update you with my recent happenings. Its amazing how

I watched a cleaner park a Benz, and I was really shocked, "A cleaner, I mean he does the ground work, wash my toilet, clean my corridor and the like" Parked a benz, Surely America is a land of opportunities, I seriously could not believe my eyes, I actually stood at one place in the toilet for a few minutes trying to analyse the situation. I decided to chat with My Zambian friend Chi, I call him so "Chilima webster" Is his full name, He told me that in America the only way to move from one place to another is by car, if you do not have one you cannot work thereby means you cannot eat, and the story goes on...

I wish to go back on The food part... As I mentioned earlier, the food here is so oily and fatty, could it be because America gets very cold in winter hence they need excess fats in their body to retain heat...
"Instead of serving as a substrate, the lipid in brown adipose tissue releases energy directly as heat and is, therefore used in heat production for non-shivering thermogenesis and for utilization of excess caloric intake via diet-induced-thermogenesis"

On wednesday I attended a freshmans speech, and God are those kids not talented, I only hope waht they said is what they aim to do in their term of leadership... Here positions like "House king and queen, class president and freshmans president and many more positions are left for freshmans and they are voted in in their first week of school. One young lady impressed me by stating that " Many people are there waiting to see you fail, but all you got to do is Help them waste their time" I don't know how many of us had such ambitions in their freshman year.

I also happened to attend an all Men's forum, and the young men who stood up to give reasons as to why they joined Lincoln University made me proud, I also realised we are so much alike and we need to embrace each other. one young man stood up and said, "I am the only kid to have this opportunity to join University" and this made me see that we have so many similarities, I thought (not to be rude) that this being a developed country, many people have joined University... It seems not. Others would stand up and say, "I am doing it for my Brother", "Before my Mum died, She told my dad that I must Joing University, so am doing it for my Mum", "all My siblings are into drugs, and if I do not do something now, Our family will vanish"

It is such a nice experience am having down here in this land of opportunities, Some are sad though, while others are very nice. I happened to Visit Philadelphia with my friend Chi from Zambia accompanied by other pals from different parts of the world, e.g. Peru, France Spain. you thought Hawkers are in Africa only, well you are wrong, lets meet and I tell you my experience in Philadelphia... ever heard of the liberty bell? well catch up with me to see America from a true experience...

I would like to appreciate all those following and commenting on my Blog.

Monday Morning

On this day, I woke up as usual, Oh as usual meaning 8am and took shower, before taking shower the first person was a jungu who was cleaning my floor. not in a bad way but in Kenya, am used to seeing them as *** there U know, I have never seen a jungu doing manual work, so this to me seemed odd. he was very nice and talkative,

I said Hi and he said hi back, then I went and took shower, then I left the building, Did I mention that my room is in LLC room 207 just incase you want to visit... *** Muhaha, I could not decide what to eat in the cafeteria, I just wished they had a tour guide in the cafeteria, They "some student's" say the food is wack, but to me that's like a 5 star...... with Mexican chefs, I could not help but go three times for meals.

After my good times in the cafeteria, I went back to my dorm, yes LLC, but the main door was locked, I wondered why, we don't lock the door's during the day in USIU, so why here... I used the ladies side to get to my room coz there was a gurl going in, So I asked her to hold the door for me, And she did it gladly...

I went to my room and nothing much happened after that. Ohhhh forgot to tell you But there is this notty Gurl I met in the cafeteria, she was pretty yes, but noty at the same time. She is from Ghana... I liked the way she acted and how she wud sneared at some guys, who wud admire her ,.,... thinking she aint seeing them...

after sleeping for a while I went down stairs again to get my schedule for class, and wen I came back, the door was locked again, I almost cursed but I only whispered WTF to my self, meaing Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, I would learn alot in those three days...

I looked by the side of the door, and there was a plate, which looked like it could be used for magnetic cards, I just decided to use my card and shock on my face, the door opened and in I was, Ushamba mwingi nakwambia kaka. I went to my room and relaxed till evening.

catch up with me tomorrow as I let you know how I witnessed Freshmen's performing. In USIU for every one dude, there is one and a half chick for him, is it the same at Lincoln... Find out with me with more catchy things... we are talking pant's with glitters and.............. Let me not spoil it now...

Catch up with me and learn more

Sunday Morning-How was it?

Its amazing

I thought being a Sunday morning many people will be at home working on their daily chores.

shock on me, many ppl still were awake and ready to work on what they considered due and necessary, I woke up and went directly to the student's building and my school ID was ready within a few minutes ( Prob 5min) I got it and was able to visit the cafeteria and grab a cup of tea with all the other things I needed. To my surprise, they did not have sweet potatoes, arrow roots or any African accompaniments.

So that was my day one in the US of A, why does the day end there, you may want to ask, I slept the whole day, jet-lagged I believe they call it. I could not even open my eyes when friends came to say hi. I was extremely tired and sleepy..

I woke up at 7pm, I thought people here ate dinner sometimes at 8pm or something of the sort, to my surprise, dinner is served at 5 to 6pm. lucky was I my friend from Zambia took me to eat Chinese food at a nearby Chinese restaurant..

It was beyond what my tummy could hold, I think it was like three pieces of chicken and a nicely made rice with beef, was it expensive? i would say no. it only cost me $ 4.77 translate that into Kenyan currency, approx 450 ksh... not that bad....

I cant wait to tell you the shock I got today in the morning. We are used to seeing or taking them differently, well join me tomorrow for the shock I got...
